Frankfurt has completed the signing of former Germany international, Mario Gotze from the Dutch side, PSV.

The news was confirmed on the official website of Frankfurt on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022. According to reports, the player's release clause of £4 million was triggered by the Bundesliga side.
Gotze is expected to be at the club until the summer of 2025. The 30-year-old played 77 games in the past two seasons for PSV Eindhoven, where he won the 2021 Dutch Supercup and 2022 National Cup, contributing 18 goals and 18 assists each.
The player returns to the Bundesliga just two years after leaving Borussia Dortmund. He made a total of 219 appearances for Borussia Dortmund and 114 for Bayern Munich between 2010 and 2020. Götze has won five championships, four DFB Cups, the UEFA Supercup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
