The news was confirmed on the official website of Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers in a press conference ahead of the team"s premier league game against Manchester United. The Nigerian suffered an injury during the foxes Europa Conference league game against Rennes.
Wilfred Ndidi will be out for the season, it’s a shame for us but he’ll get ready for next season. It’s unfortunate. He’s been a brilliant player for me in my time here. He picked up a nasty injury that has had to have surgery on and he’ll recover now until June.
Ndidi was a big miss for the Super Eagles during the World Cup doubleheader game against the Black Stars in both legs of the game in Kumasi and Abuja. The game ended 1-1 which ensured Ghana qualified based on away goal rule.
