Former world number one, tennis player, Novak Djokovic has confirmed that he will not be participating in the US Open.

The Serbian confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Thursday, August 25th, 2022. According to the tennis player, he was not allowed entry into the country because of the Covid protocols before anyone can get into the United States of America.

This is the second grand slam he will be missing out on due to the rules of the coronavirus vaccination. Djokovic was earlier the year deported from Australia because he failed to get the vaccine jab.
