Benjamin Mendy Charged with Attempted Rape of another Victim

Manchester City's defender, Benjamin Mendy will begin his court trials on July 25th, 2022 for rape and sexual allegation.

Mendy is also facing a new allegation for attempted rape after he appeared at the Chester Crown Court today. Mirror Football confirmed the news on its website on ( Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022), the judge ruled that the new charge for the defender can now be reported.

Mendy is now been accused of nine offences about six women. The judge set a pre-trial for March 11th, 2022. He is yet to enter a plea to all of these charges.

The Judge also urged the lawyers to ensure that the case is not delayed as the trial is expected to last for at least six weeks.

Manchester City suspended the player since the incident was reported by the Greater Manchester Police in September 2021. The French player's co-defendant, Louis Saha Matturie is accused of 10 offences, involving seven women, including seven counts of rape relating to five women and three relating to sexual assault.
