Manchester United's striker, Anthony Martial has hit back at the club's manager, Ralf Rangnick.

The German was speaking in a press conference before the game against Aston Villa at the Villa Park, on Saturday, January 15th, 2022. According to Rangnick, Martial opted out to follow the team for the match against Villa.

The French striker took his official Instagram account after the game to state that he has never refused to play for Manchester United.

I will never refuse to play a match for Man United. I have been here for seven years and I have never disrespected and will never disrespect the club and that fans.

Martial has given a hint that he wants to leave the Old Trafford club following the lack of playing time he has faced in recent times at the club.
