Transfer News expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022. According to the tweet, the Danish player will sign a five-year deal with Barcelona for a fee that is yet to be disclosed.
Chelsea had tried their best to renew Christensen's contract but the player's decision to change his agent after reportedly agreeing to the previous deal did not go well with the Blues. The defender is set to agree a verbal agreement with the La Liga club in the next coming days.
Cedar Aziplicueta and Antonio Rudiger are also in the last months of their contract and might not renew their contract at the end of the season.
