Grammy-award-winning singer and performer Wizkid has reacted to the first full-day streams of Davido's 'Awuke' on the Spotify chart for Nigeria.

Following the completion of the first full day of tracking for Davido's new song, 'Awuke,' which features YG Marley, popular Nigerian singer Wizkid has taken to his social media platform to react to the song's streams on the Daily Spotify Nigeria song chart.

Wizkid shared screenshots of the ranking of the biggest 24-hour streams for a song on the Daily Spotify Songs chart for Nigeria. 'Awuke ranked number 8 on the chart with 494,000 streams.

Wizkid's reaction comes a day after Davido was spotted in an initial video reacting to his song hitting number one with just partial tracking.

The track, released on October 31, 2024, and featuring YG Marley, grandson of reggae icon Bob Marley, claimed the number-one spot on Spotify Nigeria within just five hours. This swift ascent set a record, marking it as the first song in Nigeria to reach the top of Spotify NG based solely on partial-day streams.

In a recent online video, Davido is seen alongside his cousin, Folasade Adeleke, and his team as he receives news about his dual-chart-topping single. Overjoyed, Davido excitedly pounds on the table, visibly thrilled by the rapid success of Awuke.
