The Grammy Awards 2024 list of performers has reportedly received a huge shake-up as reports indicate that Taylor Swift who was announced as a performer will not be available to take to the stage at the event.
According to Entertainment Tonight, sources close to Taylor Swift have confirmed that the singer will not be performing at the Grammy Awards 2024 but will still make an appearance at the event. It was cited by the media outlet that the singer had initially agreed to take to the stage at the award ceremony but made a quick turnaround as her Eras Tour kicks off immediately after the show.
Taylor Swift who saw her album receive a total of six nominations at the 66th edition of the Grammys is scheduled to perform in Japan for four consecutive nights immediately after the award ceremony.
The statement released by Entertainment Tonight read, "Despite reports on Sunday stating that Taylor Swift would be taking the stage at the 66th annual GRAMMY Awards, sadly, that is not the case. ET has exclusively learned that the "Karma" singer, 34, will be in attendance at the Feb. 4 award show, however, she will not be performing as she has a quick turnaround before resuming her record-breaking Eras Tour on the other side of the world. Swift -- whose album Midnights is nominated for six awards -- will quickly head out from the show and travel to Tokyo, Japan, where she will perform four back-to-back sold-out shows in the proceeding days."
