Tems adds to her 2023 success by clinching the Songwriter of the Year award at the BMI Awards.
The awards ceremony that took place yesterday at Miami’s LIV nightclub was star-studded and exciting. Tems got her fourth BMI award with her Songwriter of the Year win. She was celebrated for her work on Free Mind, Lift Me Up and WAIT FOR U.
The prestigious event is a tribute to the outstanding talents, contributions, and collaborations born in the entertainment industry. Songwriters, producers, and music publishers from around the world are spotlighted and appreciated.
The BMI awards are presented annually to honour musical talents with the year’s most performed songs in the BMI catalogue.
Along with Tems, international acts like Doja Cat, Ice Spice and Chris Brown also went home with awards last night.
