Nigerian sensational singer, songwriter and performer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems has reflected on the time she spent in a Ugandan prison last year.

The songstress was arrested alongside talented singer Omah Lay in 2020, over claims of performing at an "unauthorised concert" and disobeying COVID-19 protocols. The unfortunate incident led to the Ugandan police putting both Tems and Omah Lay in prison.

Taking to her social media page on Monday, December 13th 2021, Tems, who spoke from a thankful angle rather than regrets, reflected on how she bonded with some Ugandan women and children in prison and also how her life had changed for the better since the incident. She wrote:

This very day Last Year, I was sitting in prison in Uganda bonding with women and kids. I almost can’t believe the things I’ve seen so far. All I can say is God is too awesome and He will always have the last and final laugh
