Skales voices concern over harassment by EFCC Officials

Nigerian singer Skales was harassed by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) agents.

Nigerian musical sensation Raoul John Njeng-Njeng known as Skales, took to his social media platform X during the early hours of October 10 to share that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria had broken into his home with guns for an alleged routine check. According to the musical sensation, the EFCC agents had intel that Skales was into fraudulent activities. Skales conveyed that "They said they got intel that I'm into fraud lol. They said its a routine check. They found nothing".

According to Skales, the incident took place in front of his six-month-old daughter and her mother. Regarding the allegations made against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, he vehemently asserted, "I am not a criminal, I have never don fraud in my life, you came in with guns to oppress me in front of my daughter and her mother". The popular Nigerian artist went on to express his fear for his life, his health, and the safety of his family.

He wrote, "I can boldly say today with what I've witnessed. EFCC don't care about naija like that cz they would be professionals if they do". He expressed that the EFCC was a criminal organisation and that he deserves compensation for his damaged properties. As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from the EFCC.
