Simi encourages men to embrace vulnerability

Nigerian singer, Simi has spoken out on the importance of men expressing their emotions and being vulnerable.

While in an interview on the 90's Baby Show, Simi shared her thoughts on men being vulnerable and why she finds it beautiful when men cry. Also, why she believes it's essential for men to be more open and honest about their feelings.

Additionally, Simi explained that she's surrounded by men who feel they need to be macho or strong all the time. but she believes that strength doesn't mean suppressing emotions. Also, she noted that when men cry, it shows they feel safe and can be vulnerable, which she finds beautiful.

She said, "I find it beautiful when men cry because it means they feel safe with who they are with, they can be vulnerable, and they can let go." Meanwhile, Simi's comments aim to encourage men to be more expressive and authentic, rather than hiding behind a tough facade.

Furthermore, she emphasized, "I have seen African men act like they are the warrior, protector, and provider. But if it's not coming out in your tears, it's going inside your heart, and one day you are just going to explode."
