Fast-rising Jonzing World singer, Ruger has stated in a new interview that Wizkid was the benchmark for a lot of young artists in the industry today. He said this in an interview on Afrobeats Podcast which was shared via Youtube on Tuesday, the 7th of September 2021.
The Mavin Records affiliate star told Adesope Olajide that when Wizkid came on the scene, it gave many young artists the boldness to strive for the top. Ruger said the Starboy boss ended the perceptive that you had to grow to a certain age before you become a star.

Speaking to Adesope on his Afrobeats Podcast interview, Ruger said that Wizkid came on the scene with a youthful energy that set the tone for years to come. In his words;
The major inspiration he (Wizkid) gave me is that you're not too young to make it. You're not too young to just step into the limelight. He changed the narrative of "you're a small boy, you can't do it".
