Rudeboy Warns Nigerian Comedians Following Will Smith's Action At The Oscars

The singer warned Nigerian comedians after Will Smith created a scene at the just concluded Oscars.

Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has issued a warning to Nigerian comedians following American actor Will Smith's decision to slap comedian Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

The incident that has become a global topic occurred after Chris Rock, who was on stage to present the Oscar for documentary feature, made a joke about Will Smith's wife Jada Pinkett Smith being in "G.I. Jane" because of her shaved head. As a response, Will took the stage to slap Rock.

Reacting to the incident, Rudeboy, who is one part of the iconic Nigeirna dup P-Square, took to his Instagram to warn Nigerian comedians, insinuating that they might end up in a 'Chris Rock Situation' if they are not wary of the type of jokes they crack. He wrote:

naija comedians go calm down a bit.... Will smith don open doors for some people. Pls do not allow yourself to be used as Naija version of the oscars
