Speaking in a podcast interview with Online Personality, Daddy Freeze on Friday, March 1, 2024, the Ozumba Mbadiwe crooner clarified that there is no underlying issue between them, contrary to speculations. Rather, Reekado Banks expressed gratitude towards Don Jazzy for his pivotal role in shaping his career, acknowledging the mentorship and support that propelled him from obscurity to stardom.

During the interview, Reekado Banks emphasized that Don Jazzy's actions were instrumental in his journey, moving him from a position of relative anonymity to becoming a recognized figure in the music industry. He dismissed rumors of discord between them, asserting that their professional partnership concluded on amicable terms.

In his words, "That man took me from absolutely nothing. I wonder why people would think that there was a problem. There never was. Everything was amicable. The end of the contract came, I wanted to leave and he gave me his blessings. I feel it is a tradition in the industry for artists to break out angrily from a record label, and I feel that is being imposed on our relationship."
