Nigerian music star Olamide Adedeji, widely known as Olamide Baddo, has shared an emotional message on Instagram following a heartbreaking week marked by multiple tragic incidents across the country.

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, the rapper posted a sombre note on his Instagram Story, expressing how deeply disturbed he felt by the wave of violence and loss reported in recent days. His message came after news of several devastating events; including the deadly abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State, an attack on a church in Kwara State, and a fatal accident involving prospective NYSC members traveling to camp.

In the screenshot of the emotional message he shared, Olamide poured out his grief and urged Nigerians to stay hopeful despite the overwhelming chaos. “My heart bleeds,” he wrote. “So much loss. So much pain. May God console every family grieving right now. May we find hope amidst this chaos and unity in this pain. God protect us all. The news this week has been devastating. #PrayForNigeria.”

His reaction appeared to be fueled by the series of heartbreaking reports that have dominated national conversations. Earlier in the week, gunmen attacked a girls’ secondary school in Kebbi State, abducting more than 20 students and killing a staff member. Around the same time, worshippers at a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Kwara State, were attacked, leaving several people dead and others — including a pastor, abducted. Adding to the national grief, prospective corps members from Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) lost their lives in a road accident while traveling to Gombe for NYSC orientation.

Although Olamide is known for keeping his political opinions private, his heartfelt post places him among the growing number of public figures speaking out as the country grapples with worsening insecurity. His message stands as a call for unity, reflection, and collective healing at a time when many Nigerians are struggling to process the magnitude of recent events.
