Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, known professionally as Oladips, has sparked a heated debate online after accusing Afrobeats sensation Wizkid of borrowing his lyrics without credit.

Oladips pointed out the similarities between his 2022 single Ajala Traveller and Wizkid's recent verse on Asake's song MMS from the newly released album Lungu Boy.

Meanwhile, Oladips shared screenshots comparing the two lyrics, showing that Wizkid's verse "Lost Myself, and I found my purpose" bears a striking resemblance to his own line "I had to lose myself to find my purpose".

Additionally, the rapper questioned whether the similarity was a case of "recycling or coincidence", tagging Wizkid in his post.

However, fans and music enthusiasts have weighed in on the issue. While some defended Wizkid, others supported Oladips' claim.

Lastly, the controversy has sparked a wider conversation about creativity, originality, and credit in the music industry.
