As speculations continue to grow around the proposal of Nigeria changing its name to United African Republic (UAR), singer, Naira Marley, has hopped on the bandwagon to say that he would love to compose a national anthem for the 'new nation'.
Social media has been agog since news broke of a proposal forwarded to the House of Representatives to change the country's official name with Nigerians appearing to enjoy making conjectures on the modalities that will attend the re-christening of the country.

As suggestions are being thrown up in the social space on possible designs for a new currency, a new flag, and a new anthem, Tesumole crooner, Naira Marley, volunteered through his Twitter page on June 2nd, 2021, to produce the national anthem for the 'new' country.

With the kind of lyrics Naira Marley is popular for, fans did not waste time in suggesting what the national anthem could look like.
A user, @Elanoelnino suggested:

Another Twitter user, @Ayodelebiodun, proposed:
"Nah United front we dey, you already know, a nation that smokes Igbo together stays together, girl invite your mummy let's have 3some.......all of us nah Marlians" UAR Anthem by Naira Marley.
The suggestion of another tweep, @EmekaObowo, was:
"Arise oh Marlians, let's live in peace and unity in the United African Republic
where weed and women our treasure"
