Peter Okoye, better known as Mr P, has become the first member of the legendary P-Square duo to appear on NotJustOk's Afrobeats Power Ranking, debuting at No. 49 on the June 2026 edition of the monthly list.
The chart, which tracks the biggest names in Afrobeats by streams, releases and overall industry impact, has long served as a barometer for who's driving the sound at any given moment. Mr P's arrival on the ranking marks a milestone for the Okoye twins, who ruled African pop for more than a decade as P-Square before parting ways to launch solo careers as Mr P and Rudeboy. Neither brother had previously cracked the Afrobeats Power Ranking as a solo act, making this a personal win for the singer as he continues to build his identity beyond the duo that made him a household name.
Mr P sits at No. 49, just above Pheelz, who closes out the top 50. Directly ahead of him on the list are Famous Pluto at No. 48 and Tiwa Savage at No. 44.
At the summit, Burna Boy, with Asake, Tems, Wizkid, Ayra Starr, and Tyla, all made the top 10 for June 2026.
For Mr P, the entry is more than just a number; it's a marker that his post-P-Square run is finally cutting through in a space that has, credit to his newest drop, I Can't Look Away, slowly become the song of the summer contender.
