Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter, Olamilekan Massoud Al-Khalifah Agbeleshebioba, popularly known as Laycon, has expressed his dissatisfaction towards the Nigerian government over their attitude towards education.

It's no longer news that most Nigerian students are currently at home due to the ASUU strike, which has been on since February.

Reports claim that the Academic Staff Union of Universities demands from the federal government the release of the reports on visitation panels to federal universities, fix distortions in salary payment challenges, provide funds for revitalizing public universities, provide an academic allowance, and provide funding for state universities, or else they will continue on strike.

In reaction to the situation, Laycon took to his Twitter page on Monday, April 25, 2022, to slam the Nigerian government, rebuking them for being focused on the upcoming elections alone. He wrote:

I’m scared ooo, I’m really scared. What kind of government is this !!! Universities are closed, they have been closed for months and this mandem are focused on elections alone
