Here are four key details fans should know about Drake's new album, scheduled to be released in 2026.
Drake is back and he means business. After nearly three years without a solo album and a very public rap battle with Kendrick Lamar, the Toronto rapper is ready to reclaim his throne. Here are key details to know about Drake's ninth and new studio album.
1. The Title
The album is called Iceman — Drake's ninth studio album. He's been teasing the name since 2024, inspired by Val Kilmer's character in Top Gun. The ice theme has taken over his entire rollout ever since.
2. The Release Date
Iceman is officially dropping on May 15, 2026. The date was hidden inside a giant ice sculpture in downtown Toronto and uncovered by a streamer named Kishka, who was rewarded after his discovery.
3. The Features
So far, none of the features have been confirmed, but the image of Sexy Redd was included in the document revealing the date for the album's release.
4. "2026 Will Be My Year"
Inside the ice sculpture was a t-shirt that read "2024 is my year" with the '24 crossed out and '26 scribbled over it, which many have viewed as a direct nod to his bruising rap battle with Kendrick Lamar in 2024 before. Drake is making it clear he's ready for his redemption arc.
