Ghanaian Disc Jokey, DJ Sam has surpassed the existing Guinness Book of Records of 200 hours for the longest DJ set.

DJ Sam undertook a bold initiative to surpass the existing record of 200 hours for the longest DJ set, aiming for an impressive 264 hours. Nevertheless, DJ Sam surpassed all predictions by accomplishing an astonishing feat of 264 hours.

The ambitious attempt began on February 13 at the Mood Bar in Osu. The DJ set included a two-hour break. He was joined by industry luminaries such as Killbeatz, King Promise, Smallgod, D-Black, Grey, Tinny, KiDi, Dancegod Lloyd, Kuami Eugene, Camidoh, Militant Family, Darkovibes, Cina Soul and many more.

As of now Guinness has not reacted or acknowledged DJ Sam's attempt. The previous holder for the longest DJ set by an individual is currently Nigerian DJ Soul Yin, who played for a staggering 243 hours and 30 minutes in October 2021.

As he continues his record-breaking journey, DJ Sam shows the spirit of the Ghanaian music industry and its ability to produce world-class talent. His remarkable feat showcases his commitment but also serves as an inspiration to aspiring artists and music enthusiasts in Ghana who strive to be at the forefront of African music.
