The Nigerian stars, just like the presidential elections, aired their views regarding the governorship election in Lagos.
Nigerian celebrities like Falz, Adekunle Gold, Simi, and a host of others have reactions to the 2023 governorship election in Lagos.
The gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections, which took place on March 18th, 2023, after they were postponed from March 11th, 2023, again saw a disturbing level of violence, voter oppression and suppression, disenfranchisement, and other irregularities in some states in Nigeria, Lagos being a major example.
With elections at 10 polling units in Lagos postponed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) due to several irregularities, celebrities are speaking up as regards the "show of shame" in the megacity called Lagos.
Artistes like Falz, Simi, and others, who reacted to the presidential election in which INEC declared APC's Bola Ahmed Tinubu president-elect, have also reacted to the governorship election in Lagos State involving APC's Babajide Sanwo-Olu (the incumbent governor), LP's Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, and PDP's Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran Jandor.
