In a new interview with Audiomack, DJ Neptune has hailed the musical talents of Nigerian prodigies, Omah Lay and Rema regarding them as the future of Afrobeats.
DJ Neptune was asked during his interview with Audiomack why he worked with younger Afrobeats talents like Omah Lay and Rema on his album when he said that. The interview was shared via the Audiomack website on Thursday, the 6th of December 2021.
When asked why he prefers using young afrobeats talents like Lojay, Rema, and Omah on his projects, DJ Neptune said;
They are hungry and I like that. There is also love and unity among them. They have the talent to take Afrobeats to the next level. We need to go together as a force. If we go together as a force then it is easy for us to conquer the world together. They came in at the right time when Afrobeats is really blowing up fast on the global level, so that means more money for them.

During his Audiomack interview, DJ Neptune was also asked how he has managed to stay relevant 20 years into the game and he responded by saying;

For me, it is just about staying focused, staying hungry, and being professional. Also if you don’t have God’s grace with you, it almost feels like you are wasting your time.
