Here are key changes that have been made to categories ahead of the 2025 Grammy Awards:
- The Best Remixed Recording Category has shifted from the Production, Engineering, Composition & Arrangement Field to the Pop & Dance/Electronic Field.
- The Category previously titled Best Pop Dance Recording is now called Best Dance Pop Recording.
- The Best Dance/Electronic Music Album Category has been renamed to Best Dance/Electronic Album, with a revised requirement that albums must consist of at least 50% Dance/Electronic tracks to be eligible.
- Conjunto music will now be recognized within the Best Regional Roots Music Album Category, instead of the Best Música Mexicana Album (Including Tejano) Category.
- For the Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media Category, a new guideline has been set to allow released content, such as new downloadable content (DLC) and Seasonal Expansions, to qualify. To be eligible, over 50% of the music on a Video Game or Interactive Media Soundtrack must be derived from newly released episodes or programs within the GRAMMY eligibility period.
