Nigerian music star D'banj, born Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, has taken social media by storm after videos emerged of him boarding public transport in Lagos.
The singer, who recently released a new project, The Entertainer, was warmly received by commuters who were thrilled to have him on board.
Meanwhile, coinciding with the first anniversary of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line, D'banj's public transport ride was a pleasant surprise for many. According to the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), the musician even offered to pay the transport fee of his fellow commuters by crediting their Cowry Card.
Additionally, D'banj's journey began at the Leventis bus stop, where he boarded an electric bus to the Marina train station. Also, he then transferred to the Blue Line train, traveling to the National Theatre station and back to Marina.
Lastly, the singer's gesture has been praised by many. While some fans commended his humility, others praised his willingness to connect with his audience.
