Nigerian music star Davido has stirred conversation online after posting a series of cryptic messages on X (formerly Twitter), seemingly directed at his critics and industry rivals.
His remarks come at a time when fellow Afrobeats singer Burna Boy is facing backlash over an incident at a U.S. concert.
Davido posted several fiery comments, writing, “Dey fool yourself … my head go soon catch you … everybody go collect from my God.” He also resurfaced an older post from 2024 that read, “Anybody wey do me bad go collect this year one by one just Dey watch … e don start already.”
In another update, the singer added, “Evil human beings … You will learn,” intensifying speculation about who the messages were aimed at.
His posts surfaced shortly after Burna Boy came under scrutiny for confronting a female fan during a performance in the United States. A viral video showed Burna Boy pausing mid-show to address the fan, who appeared to be sleeping in the front row. The woman was later escorted out of the venue by her companion.
The moment triggered widespread criticism online and revived previous conversations about Burna Boy’s attitude toward fans, especially after an old clip resurfaced where he stated he prefers “rich fans” and claimed he does not beg anyone for support.
Davido has not clarified whether his posts were connected to the ongoing controversy, but the timing has fueled speculation across social media.
