Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has slammed veteran rapper Idris Abdulkareem who categorised his statement made in 2020 about no artist paving the way for his career as 'stupid talk.'
In a recently released snippet from the popular podcast "The Honest Bunch," veteran Nigerian rapper Idris Abdulkareem addressed various topics, including Burna Boy's statement from 2020, Burna Boy in an interview had stated that none of the industry stars in the past had supported him or offered help when he was starting his music career. Following Abdulkareem's remarks, Burna Boy reportedly took to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), to address the issue. Burna Boy in a now-deleted post on the social media platform X former known as Twitter took to his social media platform to call Idris Abdulkareem out for the statement he made stating that the veteran rapper was not at fault for making such a statement and he had no blame for him but for the people who had donated to his hospital bills when he was battling kidney complications.
His statement on social media read, "Abdul Kareem abi wetin dem dey call your papa, I no blame you. I blame people wey donate money for your hospital bills. And I wish say you be person ey fit dey enter the kind places wey I dey dey. make we use mistake kam."
