One-time Grammy award winner Burna Boy hits a historic milestone at the Grammy Awards on February 5, 2024, despite losing all Grammy nominations.
Burna Boy, who won the Best Global Music Award for his album Twice as Tall delivered the first ever afrobeat artist performance at the Grammy's. Although he did not win any of his 4 nominations for Best Global Music Album, Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Melodic Rap Performance, he put a lot of energy into his performance.

His entrance brought to light his Yoruba heritage with a short rendition by talking drummers. He started his performance with On Form from his I Told Them album. The stage was initially set to a very local scene with men dressed in Agbadas and women in Oleku's which were green significant of the Nigerian heritage.
Burna Boy then performed the short and exciting hook from his single City Boys. He closed off the performance with a performance of Sittin' On Top Of The World with Brandy and 21 Savage
