Black Sherif and Ayra Starr cross paths at Paris fashion week

Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif and Nigerian icon Ayra Starr crossed paths at the Paris Fashion Week where they exchanged warm embraces and took photographs together.

The two artists shared a moment of solidarity as Africans. The Ghanaian musician has once again delved into the realm of fashion. This time around, the 21-year-old participated as a model for fashion brand, Off White during the 2024 Paris Fashion Week.

He strutted down the runway for Off-White, a clothing brand established in 2012 by the late American designer Virgil Abloh. The rap sensation donned a black jumpsuit with butterflies on it. The brand unveiled its 2024 fall/winter ready-to-wear collection on February 29, with Black Sherif showcasing its latest designs. Notably, he wasn't the sole Ghanaian presence at the event, as Prince Brefo from the Ghanaian fashion collective, Free The Youth, was also in attendance.

The fall/winter collection was crafted by Ibrahim Kamara, Off-White's Image and Art Director. This marks Black Sherif's second venture into the fashion world, following his recent modeling stint for Labrum London during the 2024 London Fashion Week.

Ayra Starr was also in attendance at the Off-White fashion show and Balmain fashion show. The Grammy-nominated artiste exhibited flawless style as she graced the Balmain Paris Fashion Show adorned in an elegant black attire. She donned a sophisticated black ensemble featuring a detailed umbrella motif. At the event, she met and took photographers with tennis icon Serena Williams and American singer Halle Bailey.
