According to an update provided by the official Asake website, the Los Angeles concert of his US stop has been cancelled.

Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has cancelled his scheduled concert at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

The concert, which was set to take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, was part of the singer’s ongoing “In God We Trust” tour.

The reason for the cancellation has not been disclosed. However, ticket holders have been assured that they will receive automatic refunds to the cards used to purchase their tickets.

A notification sent to ticket buyers confirmed the cancellation and stated that refunds would be processed within five business days, with an additional two to three days required for the funds to reflect in customers’ accounts.

“Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled. The Asake ‘In God We Trust’ show at The Greek Theatre on Sunday, September 6th, 2026 has been cancelled,” the notification read.

“You will receive a refund back to your card used for payment within 5 business days. Please allow a further 2-3 days for the refund to credit to your account. No action is required on your part.”

The cancellation has sparked reactions across social media, with speculation surrounding the reason for the decision.

Some users have claimed that the concert was cancelled because of low ticket sales, while others have disputed the claim, arguing that the show was close to being sold out before the cancellation was announced.

Neither Asake nor his team has publicly confirmed that ticket sales were responsible for the cancellation.

The Los Angeles date was part of the singer’s 13-city “In God We Trust” tour, which began in July and was scheduled to take Asake to several major cities across the United States, Canada and Europe.

The tour itinerary includes stops in cities such as London, Paris, Atlanta, Toronto, Houston and Miami, among others.

The cancellation of the Los Angeles concert leaves fans awaiting further information from Asake and his team regarding the circumstances surrounding the decision and whether any changes will be made to the remaining dates on the tour.
