Organisers of one of the biggest Afrobeats festivals in the world today, Afro Nation Portugal, have announced a star-studded lineup ahead of its 2026 edition.

The world’s largest Afrobeats and Amapiano festival is returning to the sun-drenched shores of the Algarve.

Scheduled to take place from July 3rd to July 5th, 2026, at the iconic Praia da Rocha beach, the festival will see the return of Nigerian heavyweights Wizkid and Asake, alongside the headline debut of South African Grammy winner Tyla.

The 2026 "LIT Stage" continues the festival's tradition of blending African excellence with international star power. Joining the headliners is American rap titan Gunna, appearing as a special guest. The lineup also features an eclectic mix of seasoned veterans and rising stars, including:

  • Nigeria: Olamide, Young Jonn, and Darkoo.
  • Congo: Soukous legend Awilo Longomba.
  • International: R&B sensation Mariah the Scientist, Kehlani (making her debut), and French rapper Niska.

Reflecting the evolving soundscape of the continent, Afro Nation 2026 will debut the Afrotronic Stage. This new arena is dedicated entirely to African electronic music, focusing on genres like Afro House, Afro Tech, Gqom, and 3-Step.

Meanwhile, the fan-favourite Piano People Stage returns to showcase the best of Amapiano, led by Madumane (DJ Maphorisa), Uncle Waffles, and Focalistic.
