Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has shared a previously unheard story about fellow music star Davido, recalling the support he showed during the filming of the music video for “High.”
Adekunle Gold shared a picture of himself with Davido alongside a caption that read, “My type of person no be commoner OriAde lon ba e soro.”
The post prompted a fan to ask about the story behind the picture. In response, Adekunle Gold revealed that the photo was taken on August 4, 2021, after they had finished shooting “High.”
According to the singer, Davido had another engagement to attend that day, but remained on set until the final shot despite the production running late.
“David actually had somewhere else to be that day and the shoot was running so late, but he stayed till the very last shot,” Adekunle Gold wrote.
He added that Davido arrived on time, brought positive energy to the set and did not complain, explaining that the singer was focused on ensuring they got the video right.
“Came on time, brought all the energy, no complaints. He just wanted us to get it right,” he said.
Adekunle Gold concluded by praising Davido as a “top guy,” highlighting the singer’s professionalism and willingness to support his colleagues.
