King Kanja releases "Weekend" and begins Kenyan media tour
The multi-talented Kenyan musician King Kanja has released a new banger: single “Weekend” featuring Chris Searcy. The song was produced by the legendary hip hop and R&B producer Chucky Thompson who has previously produced for the likes of Usher, NAS, P. Diddy and The Notorious B.I.G.
“Weekend” has a very melodic dancehall feel that you can jam and whine to. Its African vibe mashed up with a melodic dancehall tune flaunts Kanja's evolving style of music. The video was directed by one of the best visual directors in the music industry Jaime Aquino of 1st Impressions. Speaking on the jam, Kanja says, “Weekend is a feel good jam for my fans and is going to be one of the biggest hits for Summer 2017,” adding, “It’s a party anthem that will get your weekend going after a long week at work.”
“Weekend” comes right after his high-energy performance at the Best of the Best Music Fest in Miami Florida, where he shared the same stage with top music acts including Konshens, Alkanline, Dexta Daps, Spice and Barrington Levy.
