Yanga’s Head Coach predicts 3 teams that will qualify for the 2023 AFCON Semi-Finals 


Yanga Sports Club's Head Coach, Miguel Angel Gamondi, recently shared his insights on potential contenders for the 2023 AFCON semi-finals.

In a brief video posted on Yanga SC's Instagram page. the Argentine, who assumed the coaching role following Nasreddinne’s Nabi departure, named three teams he believes could secure a spot in the semi-finals.

In his predictions, the 56-year-old coach pointed to Senegal, Morocco, and Ivory Coast as strong contenders for the semi-finals. Additionally, Gamondi tantalizingly hinted at another team, yet to be revealed, that he considers a surprise package in the tournament.

Expressing his thoughts, Gamondi remarked, "Semi-final must feature Senegal, Morocco, Ivory Coast, and one surprise team."

The suspense surrounding the undisclosed surprise team adds an element of excitement for fans eagerly awaiting the unfolding drama of AFCON 2023.

While Yanga Sports Club continues its training sessions in preparation for the NBC Premier League's resumption, a noteworthy mention is that seven of its players are concurrently participating in AFCON 2023, enhancing the club's representation on the continental stage.
