Rwanda has a new RnB king; Andy Bumuntu is making major waves in the industry with his music. Singing songs that focus on social issues, Andy is using his voice to pass a message to the society. His latest single "Mukadata", a Kinyarwanda name for stepmother, he sings about a child mistreated by the stepmom.
In the song, he sings; Ariko icyo nisabira n’ agahenge kizo nkoni” “N’agatonyanga k’urukundo” (All I ask is a drop of love, and a break from all the beating).
