Wilfried Zaha has opened up on players who convinced him to make his surprise move to the Turkish side Galatasaray.
In a move many did not see coming, Ivorian and former Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha completed his transfer to the top Turkish side, Galatasaray, on a free transfer despite interests from top sides in Europe and also a new contract on the table from Crystal Palace.
The move had shocked many as fans could not help but wonder why he made the move despite interest from clubs like PSG, Napoli, Lazio and many more. Zaha revealed that he spoke to two players who actually made his decision to join the Turkish giants easier.
He said, "Obviously this will be my first opportunity to be part of the Champions League, so my mindset is to come here and do my best, try and help the club win titles and get as far as possible. My message is when I put on the shirt I always give 100 per cent and I look forward to winning hopefully the league this season with all the fans. I’ve asked a few friends, I asked Patrick Van Aanholt who came here, I asked Drogba and he told me it was amazing. I just can’t wait to step in here and see it for myself."
