The Seagulls ended that run of their former manager with three goals in the first half of the game at the Amex Stadium. Trossard continued in his fantastic form as he scorer the opening goal in the first five minutes of the game.
It went from bad to worse for Potter and his boys as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trevoah Chalobah both scored own goals before the halftime whistle. However, it was too late for Chelsea to get anything from the game in the second half.
The game ended 4-1 in Brighton's favour.
