Liverpool's Alexander Trent-Arnold has answered questions about his future at the club as he enters the final year of his contract.

Liverpool defender, Alexander Trent-Arnold has talked about his future in an interview with reporters, the defender claims that his future is uncertain and winning trophies will be a key factor in deciding his future.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's future at Liverpool remains uncertain, and the player himself has confirmed that winning trophies will be a key factor in deciding his future. As he approaches the final year of his contract, Alexander-Arnold has made it clear that his ambition to win silverware will drive his decision-making process.

The 25-year-old right-back has been linked with Real Madrid, but he's refused to commit to a future at Anfield beyond this season. Alexander-Arnold has expressed his desire to captain the club one day but admits that's out of his hands. He however revealed that he's focused on the current season and helping Liverpool win as many trophies as possible.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has downplayed concerns about Alexander-Arnold's contract situation, insisting it's not a distraction for the team. However, with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk also out of contract next summer, the Reds face a challenging task in retaining their key players.

Speaking to reporters after Liverpool’s win over Bournemouth on Saturday, the defender said:

“The most important thing is trophies if I’m honest. I want to win trophies. I’m a player who is highly motivated by winning things and being elite. That’s probably the main factor of anything. If you have a personality that’s elite, who wants to win and will do anything to win then that’s what drives them. Look, I have been at the club for 20 years now. I have signed four or five contract extensions and none of those have been played out in public. This one won’t be either. I want to be a Liverpool player this season (as a minimum) is what I will say”.
