Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they will be without their key midfielder, James Maddison at least until after the international break.
The club released a statement on its official website on Friday, November 10, 2023. According to the club, James Maddison has been dropped from the Three Lions team due to an ankle injury and could be out at least until after the international break.
"We can confirm that James Maddison has been withdrawn from the England squad due to an ankle injury. The midfielder will not feature in the Three Lions' UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia and will remain at Hotspur Way for rehabilitation with the Club's medical staff."
The former Leicester City player picked up an injury in the league game against Chelsea at White Hart Lane on Monday, November 6, 2023. He will miss this weekend's game against Wolves which will be played on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
