
Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the signing of Andy Robertson as their first arrival of the 2026 summer transfer window.
The experienced left-back joins on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract with Liverpool, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a winning mentality. Robertson spent nine successful years at Liverpool, winning multiple major honours including two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two League Cups, and the UEFA Champions League.
He is regarded as one of the finest left-backs of his generation, the Scotland captain arrives in North London with more than 300 Premier League appearances. He is also known for his reputation for leadership, consistency, and attacking quality from the flank.
New manager Roberto De Zerbi praised Robertson's technical ability, professionalism, and leadership qualities, while sporting director Johan Lange described him as one of the Premier League's greatest-ever left-backs.

Robertson is currently with the Scotland national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and will officially join Tottenham on July 1. Robertson expressed his excitement about beginning a new chapter with Spurs and playing in front of the club's fans.
