Thomas Tuchel leaves out Cole Palmer from England squad

England manager Thomas Tuchel has left Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer out of his latest England squad, raising questions about the player's absence from the national team ahead of the international break.

Palmer has been one of Chelsea's key attacking players, but Tuchel has opted not to include him in the latest selection. The decision comes after Palmer withdrew from England's previous international camp because of a fitness issue.

Tuchel had previously questioned the Chelsea star's repeated injury-related withdrawals, saying he had missed too many opportunities to represent England.

Palmer has scored five goals and provided three assists in 11 appearances for Chelsea this season, but his absence means he will have to wait for another opportunity to impress the England manager. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham and Fulham's Josh King have received their first senior England call-ups.

Palmer's omission is likely to disappoint Chelsea supporters, particularly given his importance to the club's attacking setup. However, the decision gives the 23-year-old an opportunity to focus on regaining full fitness and maintaining consistent performances at club level as he looks to earn a place in Tuchel's future England squads.

England will face Croatia on November 12 before travelling to Spain on November 15 for their final Nations League fixtures of the year.
