Man United head coach Erik Ten Hag has revealed who wanted the Mason Mount move away from Chelsea after initial speculations in the past 8 months.
In a pre-match press conference held today, Thursday, April 4, 2024, Erik Ten Hag, the head coach of an undisclosed football team, revealed some interesting insights about the departure of Mason Mount from Chelsea Football Club to Manchester United.
Ten Hag revealed that he believed Chelsea did not want to sell off Mason Mount considering the fact that the club had offered numerous contracts to the England international stating that the player himself had wanted the move.
Ten Hag stated, "I don't think they wanted to sell him. They wanted to keep him and offered him a new contract many times. But he wanted to make this step. We are very pleased he is a Manchester United player because he has great abilities and will contribute and become a big player for Manchester United."
