Manchester United's head coach Erik Ten Hag has finally broken his silence on the future of star player Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.

It is no news to the general public and football fans that Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed desires to leave Manchester United before the start of the 2022/2023 club football season, but Ten Hag has confirmed that the player is most definitely not for sale.

Erik Ten Hag in a press conference has emphasized that the legend is most definitely not for sale as he has plans for Ronaldo in his team.

He said:

Cristiano Ronaldo is NOT for sale, he is in our plans - he's not with us due to personal issues. We are planning with Cristiano Ronaldo for this season, that's it.

How to make Cristiano happy? I don't know - I'm looking forward to working with him.

I spoke with Cristiano Ronaldo before this issue came up. I had a good conversation with him. He hasn't told me that he wants to leave... I have read. We want success together.

Eye brows are however being raised on the statement as Cristiano Ronaldo had not joined the squad for the pre-season training and has also not travelled with the squad for its pre-season tour.

Speculations that the maestro might be joining Chelsea is currently not off the table as his manager Jorge Mendes had met with the Chelsea CEO Todd Boehly to discuss what is speculated to be the future of the Portuguese at Chelsea FC.
