South Korea's head coach Paulo Bento confirmed his 26-man World Cup 2022 squad amidst the injury scare involving the squad's captain and key player, Heung-min Son.
Paulo Bento included Son in his World Cup squad after the forward was forcefully substituted off in the Champions League fixture due to a concussion. Son was forced to undergo surgery, raising concerns and doubts about whether he would be available for the world cup.
His inclusion indicated that the talented player was fit enough to play at the biggest football event in the world.
