Former World Number one, tennis player, Serena Williams and Mercedes driver, Sir Lewis Hamilton have indicated an interest in backing Sir Martin Broughton's bid to buy Chelsea Football Club.

Sky News confirmed the news on its official website on Thursday, April 20th, 2022. According to the reports, the 22 grand slam winner and seven-time formula one champion are ready to invest 10 million dollars each to the deal.
Broughton has reportedly been in talks with the duo for the past few weeks as ot concerns about them getting to invest in the bid to buy the Premier League club. There are also reports that Hamilton would 'play a formal role in Chelsea's future efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion' if Broughton's bid ends up being successful.
The investment bank, Raine Group, who are overseeing the Chelsea sale, could pitch their preferred bidder to the government before the end of this month.
