The manager of Brighton and Hove Albion, Roberto De Zerbi, has given an update concerning the future of Moises Caicedo.
Roberto De Zerbi was speaking after the game final pre-season game against Rayo Vallecano ahead of the 2023/24 football season. Moises Caicedo was left out of the match-day squad for the Seagulls, according to reports, the club decided that Ecuadorian rest ahead of the opening game against Luton town.
He was asked by the press if Caicedo would return to training on Monday, August 7, 2023.
“I don’t know. If Moisés leaves, we will find another important player. If Moisés stays, I’ll be happy for us. It’s not my problem. At Brighton, it is possible to lose some players; we always move forward”.
The Blues have seen three of their bids rejected by the Seagulls since the 2023 summer transfer window officially opened. Chelsea's latest bid for the Ecuadorian international of £80 million was rejected, Brighton has been adamant that the player will leave only for £100 million.
