Real Madrid's official statement on Kylian Mbappe's injury

Real Madrid forward player, Kylian Mbappe, could be out of action for a few weeks after he picked up an injury against Deportivo La Corona.

Kylian Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid as a free agent from Paris St-Germain, has hit the ground running from the start of this season. The forward player scored in a 3-2 win against Deportivo Alaves on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, before being substituted after 80 minutes.

Real Madrid confirmed in a statement that Kylian Mbappe was diagnosed with biceps femoris in his left leg, and the situation will be monitored.

The statement was as follows,

"Following tests carried out today by Real Madrid's Medical Services on our player Kylian Mbappé, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg. His progress will be monitored."

Real Madrid could miss Kylian Mbappe due to injury for the next three games, which are away in a league match at Atletico Madrid on Sunday, September 29, and then play Lille in the Champions League and Villarreal before the international break.

Mbappe had scored six goals in seven games for the Bernabeu club before sustaining his injury.
