At Rod Laver Arena, the German professional tennis star Yannick Hanfmann, put up a good fight, saving four match points, but Nadal grabbed his fifth chance to win 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 after two hours and 42 minutes.

After winning the title over a decade ago in 2009, Nadal is the only past champion still in the men's draw at Melbourne Park. Hanfmann and Nadal had previously met on the Roland Garros clay in 2019, and Nadal had won the game in straight sets that day.

Rafael Nadal hopes to advance further in the tournament this year after reaching the quarterfinals last year and losing in five sets to Stefanos Tsitsipas, despite winning the first two sets.

Despite the fact that the Australian Open and Novak Djokovic had appeared to overshadow the tournament, world-class tennis stars are still focused on performing to the best of their abilities while entertaining the audience.
