PSG suffers big blow ahead of second-leg clash against Dortmund

The supporters of Paris Saint-Germain have reasons to worry about more than just the scoreline ahead of the second leg of the semi-final match against Borussia Dortmund.

In the first leg, which took place on May 1st, 2024 at the Signa Iduna Park, the Parisians lost 1-0. However, the team's concern now is that Lucas Hernandez will be unavailable for the second leg. This is because he hurt his left knee while trying to intervene on Niclas Füllkrug's goal. Hernandez's knee has been swollen, and it is not clear yet what kind of injury he has sustained. An MRI is scheduled for Thursday to determine the extent of the damage.

Sadly, this injury has ruled out Hernandez from participating in the Euro 2024, which would be a significant loss for the French national team. It is a double blow for Hernandez, as he already missed the 2022 World Cup due to injury.

It remains to be seen if Hernandez will recover in time for the French team's coach, Didier Deschamps, to include him in the team news, which will be released on May 16th. Meanwhile, the available players will meet from May 29th, 2024, at Clairefontaine.
